Here's everything you need to know about how your data is handled when you use Jnvoice, written in plain English.
1. Where Your Data Lives
Your invoices, clients, and business information are stored in your browser's local storage. This means the data stays on your device and doesn't get sent to our servers. However, if you clear your browser cache or data, this information will be permanently deleted.
2. Analytics We Collect
We collect basic, anonymous usage analytics to understand how people use Jnvoice and to improve the app. This includes things like which features are used most often, but we don't collect your personal information or business data.
3. Backing Up Your Data
Since your data can be lost if you clear your browser cache, we recommend creating regular backups. You can save backups to your computer as files, or use our Google Drive integration to store backups in your own Google Drive account.
4. Google Drive Integration
If you choose to backup to Google Drive, we only access your Google Drive to save and retrieve your backup files. We don't access any other files in your Drive, and you can revoke this access at any time through your Google account settings.
5. Deleting Your Data
Since your data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it anytime by clearing your browser data or using the delete options within Jnvoice. Any analytics data we've collected is anonymous and can't be tied back to you personally.
